Khloe Kardashian & Mario Lopez confirmed as hosts!

In a statement to MTV News, show co-creator Simon Cowell acknowledged that the news doesn't come as a surprise. "The worst kept secret in Hollywood is out," Cowell said. "Mario and Khloé are our hosts. They will debut on our first live show in November and I couldn't be happier."

The two new hosts were quick to express their excitement about the new gigs and working with Cowell and company.

"I'm so thrilled to become a part of the 'X Factor' family," Odom said. "I've been a big fan of the show and look forward to working with Simon and all of the judges. It's going to be so much fun!"

"I'm very excited to be joining the 'X Factor' team," Lopez echoed. "I love the show, and I've been a big fan of Simon Cowell and the judges for a long time. Khloé and I have been friends for years and I know we'll be a great team and have a blast."

And Khloe also took to Twitter to confirm her role on The X Factor: @KhloeKardashian "The rumors are true... I will be hosting @TheXFactorUSA this season!!! SO excited!"

Simon added: "She's a fan and she's popular and she's a bit kooky. And, people like her. She's like a normal girl. She doesn't have hosting experience and I think it makes her interesting. It brings a certain amount of danger into the live shows, which I think is interesting."

Demi Lovato is all for it as well. "She's so funny and she's so fun to work with. I love her. I think she would make a great host because she's hilarious. She's very witty and she can say things of the top of her head that will make everyone laugh," adds Demi.

FOX announce 3rd "Encore" episode of The X Factor USA to air Fridays

Cant get enough of Simon, Demi, Britney & LA? Lucky for you there is an extra helping of The X Factor USA as Fox announced that a third "Encore" show will be aired on Fridays. The added show will be a compilation of highlights from the previous two nights full episodes.

Britney Spears

Spears first captivated audiences with her first single “…Baby One More Time,” an international hit that is currently 14x Platinum in the U.S. So far, Spears has earned a total of five No.1 debut albums and 24 Top 40 songs in her career.

Demi Lovato

Lovato is an accomplished singer and actress with a devoted and engaged young fan base. Her single, “Skyscraper,” recently went platinum. Her first album, “Don’t Forget,” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and her second album, “Here We Go Again,” debuted at No. 1. Lovato began acting at the age of 10, and starred in the cable television series, “Sonny With A Chance.” Her film credits include “Camp Rock” and “Princess Protection Program.”

The X Factor USA - Season 2

Show Information

In its first season on FOX, THE X FACTOR shot to the top of the ratings as the No. 1 unscripted series of the fall and currently ranks as a Top 10 series among Adults 18-49 and the No. 1 new series among Women 18-49.

THE X FACTOR is searching for undiscovered talent 12 years old or over – both solo artists and vocal groups – who are willing to brave the panel for a chance to win a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music. Interested solo artists and vocal groups should sign up now for audition information at www.fox.com/theXfactor.

In a departure from other singing competition series, the first time contestants audition for THE X FACTOR judges, they will do so in front of an audience of thousands – raising the stakes and increasing the pressure to impress not only the judges, but also a potential legion of fans. This will be the ultimate test to prove they have the vocal ability, charisma and stage presence that it takes to win an unprecedented $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music.

In May 2012, two new judges were announced, Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning worldwide pop icon Britney Spears and singer, songwriter and actress Demi Lovato will now join L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell on the panel.

THE X FACTOR was created by Syco Television and is produced by Syco Television and FremantleMedia North America. Rob Wade and Siobhan Greene are executive producers for Syco Television.
