The Sunday Times publish their definitive guide to the wealthiest individuals in Britain and Ireland this weekend - and Simon is a respectable number 7 on the list of Music Millionaires, with an estimated fortune of £225 million.

The Sunday Times Rich List looks at the 1,000 richest people in the UK and the top 250 in Ireland,

it also reveals the wealthiest music millionaires. This year sees Simon Cowell enter the list at 7th position joining the music hall of fame alongside other big name stars.

Paul Mcartney, U2 and Lord Andrew Lloyd -Webber all appear in the top ten and the list also includes Simon's long time nemesis, Simon Fuller. Fuller enters the chart at number 6 - one place higher than Cowell, with an estimated wealth of £375million.

Simon still has a way to go to beat record label tycoon Clive Calder who tops the music rich list with a staggering £1.350million. Paul Mcartney is the highest earning performer earning £725m with David and Victoria Beckham who have raised their fortune by £25 million to £190 million in just one year edging into the top ten.
